This line of the GFit Air is the one I swear by. I'm not a fighter/grappler; I do a lot of fitness, and these are hands down the best shorts I can find anywhere. Rugged, durable enough for stupid outdoor beatdown workouts, flexible where they need to be for squats and lunges no problem, not even a need for an adjust - they just work. But they're also flexible and breathable enough that I wear them exclusively for the crazy muscle-centric hot yoga that my fitness coach puts us through, too. And style-wise, they're exactly the right call for that class, where the women are setting a high bar with their $300 super-heroine outfits, and the social forces in play are suggesting its worth the loss in dignity and mental fortitude every man pays walking through the doors of lululemon... F**k that place, I get to keep my shoulder width and chest-forward posture intact because I found Venum. I'm still me in these motherfuckers, and it looks good, and it feels good, and I'm still getting comments on them. I've looked at all sorts of other so-called "premium" fitness clothing companies like Vuori and Rhone, and I think - just look at them next to the GFit Airs.. they have no play on style or taste, about as utilitarian and flimsy as can be, and at that price theyre pushing an elastic waistband?! Egad... - clearly theyre not selling quality or individuality or anything substantial here - theyre just selling prestige and maybe even some exclusivity - I just cant do it. Not at this stage. I go with the solid colors, no loud crazy graphics, and these blue GFit Airs are perfect for these environments - low key, tasteful, stylish, looking good, making me look good, giving me what I need for the beatdowns Im suffering several times a week and sometimes even several times a day. Oh, and I didnt mention that I wear them in the sauna and then into the cold plunge - perfect for both. Man, I'm telling you, these are it. Please never discontinue this line. I said this in my last review - that the one thing I'm missing from these is a sleeve for the cell-phone along the side of the thigh. The workaround for that is easy, compression shorts with a cell sleeve (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F53K8W7C?th=1&psc=1), but too-too many times I've caught myself heading out for a run or entering into a metcon or chipper, realizing that I wore the wrong underwear again, so no music that day. My favorite feature of these shorts, however, is the textured patch above the knee - sems it was designed exactly for people like me, who find themselves leaning over either catching my breath or trying not to puke, and maybe it doesnt seem like much for some, but that traction keeps my hands from sliding off, and in that condition, when I can barely stand to hold my miserable self upright, its a big feature. Those patches also protect the shorts from getting worn, and it doesnt look dirty from my nasty hands. ive even found myself saying so out loud in those moments, "these venums are freakin great".
